About Me
Hello! My name is Madeleine Parr (she/her). I am senior at Carleton College studying Political Science and International Relations. I am originally from St. Paul, MN, however, I grew up primarily in Colombo, Sri Lanka where I attended an international school for middle and high school. My current academic interests lie predominantly in the impacts of nationalism on gender, specifically how this is manifesting in Sri Lanka.
When not doing school work I like to run, read and wander around Carleton’s Arboretum. I am one of the leaders of the outdoor club here at Carleton so I spend a lot of time organizing our weekly trips. During the summer I lead wilderness trips out of a YMCA camp in Northern Minnesota.
